Including a cover sheet in a proposal will add its value. It can be a good way to show your politeness and professionalism. However, many proposal writers just don’t understand how to include this section and what format to use. There are actually several different formats available depending on what kind of proposal you are making. Here are some tips to write a cover sheet for sales proposal.
1. Principal Investigator. This the first part of the cover sheet, consisting of the investigator information including the grantee organization, requested amount, the start date and the end date of the requested amount. This is a simple part that can be made by providing only the required information without paragraph.
2. Project Goal. Describe the goal of the project briefly what the organization would benefit from the funding and how it will be used.
3. Objectives. Based on the set goal, describe the objectives of your organization including the approaches used to reach it.
4. Proposed Activities. List all the activities that will be done in order to realize the set objectives mentioned before. Just list it briefly to let the readers know what kinds of activities you are going to do to reach the goals.
5. Expected Products. There are some results as a product from the activities. For example if you are doing a training activity, then the product should be the trained people. So the product should be aligned with the activities.
6. Expected Outcomes. Since there are products as a result of the activities, you can also provide the expected outcomes influenced by the products. If the product example is trained people, then the outcomes would be increased knowledge or improved skills. The outcomes should be beneficial for certain society or organizations to make the proposal convincing.
