Just because you are a student doesn’t mean that you have no skills. You might not have experiences in formal positions, but great things don’t come only from that. There are many organizations and communities you can join and they give you many lessons and skills. You can show them in your resume by using the right format and content in your resume.
The first thing you should include in your resume is your contact information right at the top of the paper. In this section, make sure you have a proper email address that uses your full or real name instead of using funny emails most students have. Make a new one if necessary. To make it easier, you can also use a resume template so that you can simple filling the template without having to work from the start.
After writing the contact information, write the objective or summary, which includes the main content of the resume. It highlights your most impressive skill or experience you want the employer to know. Make sure to note make sentences using subject I. represent the word I with your department where you study in your college. Make another section that includes your education. List all your history in education including the college you are still studying. Mention the date where you started and finished your study in the schools you mention. For the college, since you haven’t graduated, mention the expected time you will graduate. Use bullet points for making list; make sure to use the same type of bullet points to make your resume more professional.
You also need a section that includes your work history. It doesn’t have to be a formal one. You can include all jobs you have done such as part-time jobs or work volunteers in this section that are relevant with the position. Mention the date you worked in your previous jobs. Add one more section to highlight your special skills to give you more strength point to the employer.
